Tour Itinerary
Day 1 :
Meet your tour guide at Muscat international airport in the morning, start full days sightseeing in Muscat, visiting: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Opera House, Bait Al Zubair Museum, “Muttrah” historic souk (Bazar), view Al-Mirani and Al-Jelani (16th century castles) from outside, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 :
After breakfast drive to “Ras al-Jinz” along the coast of Oman Sea, visit the picturesque “Bimmah Sinkhole”, beautiful valley of “Wadi Shab”, Dhow shipyards, city of Sur en route. After an early dinner, visit the turtle sanctuary, where green turtles come from thousands of kilometers away to lay eggs at night (seasonal). Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 :
After breakfast drive to visit “Wadi Bani Khalid”, a rocky valley with natural pools for swimming (one of the biggest and most beautiful wadis in Oman), then drive to “Wahiba” desert. From Badiyah city you will have 4x4 vehicles through the dunes towards the desert camp, just in time for a sunset also you will have time for extra optional desert safari, then enjoy a traditional dinner. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4 :
Early in the morning start excursion to Nizwa (capital of Oman culture), visit famous “Nizwa Souq” where you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts and souvenirs. Next to the Souq visit Nizwa Fortress. After lunch drive to visit “Falaj al khatmain” Omans ancient water supply system (UNESCO world heritage site) Then drive up to the “Jebel al akhdar” Mountain, one of the most adventurous in Oman, offering exciting off-road experience and fantastic views of villages and wadies known as the Grand Canyon of Oman. In the evening Continue to Muscat and transfer to the international airport.
Note :
At Fridays and Public Holidays, the forts close at 11:00 AM, so it is not always guarantee to visit it from inside in case of Friday trip
