Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Meet your tour guide at Muscat airport and transfer to the hotel. According to time Afternoon
panoramic sightseeing.
Day 2: Muscat
Full day sightseeing in Muscat, visiting: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Bait Al Zubair Museum, Royal Opera House, “Muttrah” Historic Souk (Bazaar), view Al-Mirani and Al-Jelani Castles (16th century castles) from outside. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Muscat/Ras al-Jinz
After breakfast drive to “Ras al-Jinz” along the coast of Oman Sea, visit the picturesque “Bimmah Sinkhole”, beautiful valley of “Wadi Shab”, Dhow shipyards, city of Sur en route. After an early dinner, visit the turtle sanctuary, where green turtles come from thousands of kilometers away to lay eggs at
night (seasonal). Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Ras al-Jinz/Wahiba
After breakfast drive to Wahiba Sands desert camp, visit “Wadi Bani Khalid”, a rocky valley with natural pools for swimming (one of the biggest and most beautiful Wadis in Oman) en route, in the afternoon desert 4x4 adventure through the dunes towards the desert camp, just in time for a sunset, then enjoy a traditional dinner. Overnight stay at the camp.
Day 5: Wahiba Sands/Nizwa
After breakfast drive to ancient city of “Nizwa”, visit historical part of “Ibra” city, in the afternoon visit famous “Nizwa Souq” where you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts and souvenirs (If you were lucky and you were in Nizwa on Friday, you can visit “Nizwa cattle market”). Next to the Souq visit Nizwa Fortress and mosque. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Nizwa - Salala
In the morning drive to “Bahla” City, visit Suqe and Castle, then visit the famous stone houses of “Misfat Al Abriyeen” and Falaj network (Oman's ancient water supply system) in the “Jebel Shams” Mountain. Drive back to “Nizwa” and Muscat airport, Fly to “Salalah” in the south of Oman, transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: East Salalah
In the morning sightseeing in Salalah, visiting: Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Salalah (visiting time 8 am -11 am every day except Fridays), Frankincense Land Museum, Salalah Souk (“AL Hafa” old market), coconuts and palm farm, Hosan Palace (photo stop). After lunch excursion, drive towards east to visit old fishing village of” Taqah” (famous for the manufacture of Dried Sardines& its traditional & old Dhofari Houses), old Castle of Taqah, UNESCO world heritage site of “Sumhuram”, the palace of Queen Sheba, continue to visit valley of “Wadi Darbat” in Qara mountain, watch the Camels and cows in the Wadi, drive back to Salalah. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 8: West Salalah
After lunch drive to the west to visit picturesque landscapes and Jabali villages, Frankincense Trees in reality and a wonderful “Al-Mughsail” beach (where the white sand touches the deep blue of the Indian cean), “Marneef” cave. Then drive to “Shaat” mountain and landscapes a place that is a combination of the sea, greenery and clouds. in the evening drive back to Salalah. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Salalah
According to your flight time, transfer to airport. End of the trip.
Note :
At Fridays and Public Holidays, the forts close at 11:00 AM, so it is not always guarantee to visit it from inside in case of Friday trip
