After breakfast drive to “Ras al-Jinz” along the coast of Oman Sea, visit the picturesque “Bimmah Sinkhole”, beautiful valley of “Wadi Shab”, Dhow shipyards, city of Sur en rout After an early dinner, visit the turtle sanctuary, where green turtles come from thousands of kilometers away to lay eggs at night (seasonal). Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast drive to Wahiba sands desert camp, visit “Wadi Bani Khalid”, a rocky valley with natural pools for swimming (one of the biggest and most beautiful wadis in Oman) en rout, in the afternoon desert 4x4 adventure through the dunes towards the desert camp, just in time for a sunset, then enjoy a traditional dinner. Overnight stay at the camp.
After breakfast drive to ancient city of “Nizwa”, visit historical part of “Ibra” city, “Jabrin” and “Bahla” castles en rout. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning visit famous “Nizwa Souq” where you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts and souvenirs (If you were lucky and you were in Nizwa on Friday, you can visit “Nizwá cattle market”). Next to the Souq visit Nizwa Fortress. After lunch drive to “Al Hamra” village, visit the famous stone houses of “Misfat Al Abriyeen” and Falaj network (Oman's ancient water supply system), Then drive up to the “Jebel Shams” Mountain, one of the most adventurous in Oman, offering exciting off-road experience and fantastic views of “Wadi Nakhr” known as the Grand Canyon of Oman. Drive back to Nizwá. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Drive back to Muscat, visit “Wadi Bani Awf” and take in the beauty of the steep mountain cliffs and several small villages, visit magnificent 350-year-old fortress of “Nakhl” in “Nkhal” city. Transfer to hotel in Muscat. Overnight stay at the hotel.
On Fridays and public holidays, the forts close at 11:00 AM, so it is not always guaranteed to go inside the castles.
